Born in 1980, in the northern quarter of Marseille, the youngest of five children in a family of Algerian origin, Yacine Aouadi left his family home at 25 to enter the classrooms of the fashion design school Studio Berçot. Upon completion of his studies, he was recruited as a designer by the house of Balmain, working alongside Christophe Decarnin and then Olivier Rousteing.
Today, driven by a will to express himself outside the domain of a creative studio, he has founded his eponymous fashion house to affirm one conviction: that Couture can constitute a credible and peaceful alternative, to which one can devote one’s time, timeless luxury.
Couture creations as ends unto themselves, not fairy tales, nor concept laboratories, just the quest for a modern and sophisticated silhouette, free of clichés. Collections enamored of details rather than demonstrations, where the garment is first and foremost a reflection of taste, of a personality embodied by its singularity.
His natural inclination for artisanship and arts emphasizes exception as an antidote to standardization. A realistic and contemporary vision of an urban-classy hybrid style.
